The castle and its Carriage Barn cater to a range of wedding sizes, from small, intimate gatherings to larger celebrations of up to 130 people. At Wadhurst Castle, couples can choose from various enchanting spaces for their wedding ceremony. Whether you prefer the serenity of the Winter Garden, the Drawing Room’s classic elegance, or the Carriage Barn’s rustic charm, each setting provides a unique and memorable backdrop.
The garden areas, licensed for civil ceremonies, offer a blend of natural beauty and privacy, while the indoor spaces exude an air of timeless sophistication. The spacious Dressing Room with its panoramic views provides an ideal space to prepare for your special day.
Following your ceremony, Wadhurst Castle’s South Terrace and its spectacular views offer the perfect setting for drinks and canapés. The venue’s flexibility allows for a variety of reception configurations.
Smaller groups can enjoy the intimacy of the Winter Garden, while larger parties can spread out in the castle’s interconnecting reception rooms or the Carriage Barn. Everything in the run up to the event was so well organised and no request or question was too small, which really helped to put us at ease. As a result, I felt no nerves at all on the wedding day! So thank you for answering what felt like a hundred and one last minute emails and guiding me through the morning so calmly and with a smile always on your face.
The grounds are stunning with plenty of photo opportunities and a view to die for! The venue itself is perfect for a wedding with a lovely modern dining area as well as plenty of outside space to entertain your guests! There is also a lovely bright bridal room to get ready which is always a bonus.
We had our wedding reception at Wadhurst Castle last Saturday and we couldn't have been happier. The venue is simply stunning both inside and out. There are so many different options for your ceremony and wedding breakfast that the UK weather need not be an issue. Could not recommend this venue more!
